Lighting Control Failure - Is the Footwell Module Bricked or does it need replacing?

I recently had a new battery put in and the installer didn't connect a cable. As I went to drive the car, I got a 'Lighting System - Stop vehicle' message on my navigate/iDrive screen. The blinkers, internal lighting, and windows do not work. Luckily the headlights are ok.

My question is whether this is a bricked FRM that I can have reprogrammed or will I need a whole new footwell module?

Any help would be much appreciated!

If you remove it and it isn't physically damaged (arcing marks, water damage, etc.), it can likely be de-bricked by sending it off. You can also do it yourself by purchasing the right equipment, but for most people, they just find an eBay service.

Good to know. One of the dealers I talked to said that reprogramming basically never works and that they have to get an all-new module almost every time.

The dealer will not de-brick it.
As said above, send it off to get de-bricked or get used/new one and flash it to your car.

When mine took a dive, I just found the closest one on eBay to me geographically that had decent feedback and sent it to them. Sent it off day 1 had it back on day 3.
