N54 work near Laurel, MD
Anyone recommend a shop that can do some diagnosing on my N54? Prefer someone who can actually diagnose and not just start replacing parts or charging for work that doesn't end up fixing anything.

Sigy's in Rockville is excellent for stock and stock-ish cars. I've heard of Fleming's but haven't used them. I believe the owner of Mach 5 Motorsports in Sterling is a member here as well, at least he was when I bought my car (mumble) years ago and they installed the aftermarket intercooler. I've been going to Sigy's just because I haven't lived in Sterling for ~4 years and Tischer, I mean BMW of Silver Spring, which was convenient to my last job, stopped handing out loaners when having maintenance work done so Sigy's became more cost effective after that.

BTW if someone who's used them can post a link to Fleming's I too need some work done. I see there's old mentions of a Fleming's in Crofton but it's now listed as Harwood? There's also a Fleming's Ultimate Auto in Rockville which I assume is not what we're talking about. Just trying to prevent confusion as I totally understand having a short list of people allowed to touch your car...
Apropos of this thread, my office mate at my new job (started in January) has a E46 M3 and said there's a local place to here (BWI) that he trusts, I will try to get info for that because if nothing else I suspect I need new wheel bearings and don't have the time to properly diagnose/fix myself. |
