Airbag deactivation, E93 front passenger side?
Hello, new member here!
I will be collecting my new to me, M3 E93 2010 this saturday. As I have a 1 year old child, I'd like him to be able to have his car seat on the passenger front seat. However, this specific car does not have the airbag-deactivation option, which leaves me with three options; 1. Go the heavy route with wiring and installing the OEM-switch for airbag-deactivation and do the coding required (I'm propably not the one doing that, and I do not know of anyone who would do it) 2. Install a resistor instead of the airbag (is this possible?) to physically deactivate it 3. Just unplug the airbag and live with the airbag lamp (not a great option tbh...) So, advices here? The easiest way would sure be to just plug the airbag connector with a fitting resistor, which would leave everything reversibel. Thanks// Mattias from Sweden |
