Need a replacement key fob
Hi fellas, I lost one of my key fobs for my 2006 330xi e90. What is the best/cheapest way to get a replacement besides going to the dealer? I am really handy if that matters.

I don't know where you're from, but for myself, I can make a claim on my insurance and pay my deductible ($200 CAD) for a new key fob.

My dealer quoted about $500 for a second key for my 2010 328xi. I'll be watching this thread.

Same for me. I didn’t lose mine but when I bought my car it only came with one.

Locksmiths who have the tools for BMW keys can make them for around $200-$240.
There is an 800# you can also call for an oem key sent to the dealer for half of the dealer cost. I lost that number, but saw someone post it here a while ago. |
