Armaspeed Sport CAT DP, AA single (res) midpipe to OE axle-back exhaust
I replaced the OE down pipes with a set of Fabspeed Sport CAT down pipes on 05 Apr. I haven't noticed a substantial difference in the sound or performance at lower RPMs (<5K) but it does sound a little deeper during acceleration to my untrained ear.
Still not happy with the sound so I ordered an Active Autowerke's resonated single mid-pipe from mike@x-ph.com who gave me a great price and got the mid-pipe to me in 3 days! Install seems straightforward so I ordered an exhaust cutter and plan on doing it today. I'm keeping the OE axle-back exhaust (for now) and assuming the QuickJack holds and I can still type I'll post clips of the exhaust changes below for those interested. |

Cold start (Fabspeed DP Stock Exhaust): https://www.youtube.com/shorts/rJgpT3tkYa8 Cold start (Fabspeed DP to Active Autowerke's Single resonated mid-pipe then OE axle-back exhaust) https://www.youtube.com/shorts/y1Tst1nONG8 Recording of the S58 in Sport+. Made the recording with my Akaso Barave 4 helmet cam so the sound quality isn't the best but I can say I'm pleased with the sound of the exhaust. It's deeper than I expected and I'm very happy I can close the exhaust in the neighborhood to keep the neighbors happy. Last edited by OwnerF16; 04-16-2023 at 11:28 AM.. Reason: Video clips |
