Is E92 have LED taillights for the brakes and turn signals?
Hello guy's
I'm just asking if any body know if the new E92 will be geting LED brake lights and turn signals, like the e46 coupe? The only thing that I know it will get LED lines for normal lighting such as E90. |

The E90 has 1 type of bulb that powers all the rear lights, except the fog lights, which have a different shape bulb ( and ofcourse the LED 3rd brake light )

I just dont understand why it would take a long time to develop a LED light. They have done with the e46 coupes and I don't see how it would be hard to create E90 led lights from the start.
I am assuming they decided not to use the LED because it did not fit their design or money was the big factor. I myself think it would look nice and would go into getting them myself in the future if it was avalaible but I really wonder what the BMW designers think

I may be in the minority on this issue, but I really don't like the look of the LED taillights on most cars. Many companies arrange the LEDS so there is a small "space" around each one. The result is a brake light that looks like a bunch of little dots.
Amazingly, one of the better implementations of LED taillights has been on a few Cadillac models. Even though I hate everything else about the car, the LED taillights have a better consistency and the entire area lights up similar to a regular taillight, but faster and brighter. I also think the BMW 6 series taillights look nice, but I doubt they would put that much effort into the 3 series (at half the price). If the plan is to re-introduce the "dot matrix" look from the later E46 coupes, my preference would be for the current style lights.
