Thumbs down Cic Bluetooth pairing issues

Hi all,

Got an 2011 e91 with the wide-screen nav.
It's got Bluetooth audio and phone.

When I paid my phone, ( galaxy s23ultra) my phone pairs up and seems all good

The car accepts the passcode and then stays on connecting for about 5 mins and then disappears but my phone isn't in the device list.

My contacts pull through etc ....

In setting the software update option isnt there all the time? Was there initially but when back to get the software version last night and the option has disappeared?

I've tried the phono off, reboot idrive and clear my phone's network stuff but still no joy.

Any ideas ?

Tia

So it connects and shows my phone signal. I can make a call on my phone and it will show on the idrive

But the idrive won't see the device

Not trying to plug my own video, but I'm pretty sure I ran into your exact issue.

Does your device’s name have an emoji in it?

No emoji !

Got it kinda sorted.

So did as the video shows. Using a diagnostic tool and now it all pairs up .
But when playing music it doesn't get the information of the media which is really annoying cause I know it should do .... Are the Comboxs coded? Is it worth swapping it?

Great, have been looking for this for a while. This method sorted it indeed.
