E46 steel wheel for a spare?
Just looking to see if anyone has used one and they don't rub anything. My 07 328Xi has 16 inch wheels and after blowing a tire about 500 miles from home I want a spare. I have some E46 wheels with old snow tires on them in the garage. They have the same size tires as the car. Just don't want to have it rub when and if I have to use it. I also have a tire plug kit in the car but that doesn't always fix a flat. Once the weather breaks here in New England I will install one and see if it works and report back.
Thanks My car has 16 inch wheels and the used mini spares I've found are 17 inch. Last edited by bmwbob89; 03-13-2025 at 03:03 PM.. |

You need to confirm offset and tires specs. If wheel is approx 35 et and the tires have a 25" diameter (like stock tires) and 225 or narrower tread width, it will fit without rubbing.
If you don't know the offset, you can measure it yourself (see: Google). |
