Vehicle inspection after a pull

Hi,

I’m hoping someone can really advise me.

Cars just had a service, oil change and sparks.

When I do a pull from 1st to 2nd or even 3rd onwards the caution symbol appears and it’s the Vehice inspection light (yello car on the stand). Once the car turns off and then back on, it’s gone? Why does it appear? I’ve reset it in the menu and says it’s due now in 2029?

Why does it still appear? Any advice would be great.

Thanks

well, this is normal for a bmw.

now get the warning and/or the code it gives you. Only the logo don't tell much.

Yes understandable. I was having an issue with my car randomly cutting out, came up with HPFP codes, 2BE9, 2BDE. However, sorted that as it was my EPKM overheating. But yet it still happens? Thanks for you response also

So your engine isn't dying anymore randomly right?

So that is just a generic "service required" warning. Check in your service menu to see if you have any services that are coming due soon. Things like brake fluid changes, cabin air filter changes coming due soon can cause that menu to show up.

How old is the battery in your car? I wonder if the pulls are causing low voltage or something, which means the car's electronics go wild!

Hi,

Ive sorted the EKPM and its not overheating now so thats good. Car isn’t dying.

I’ll check the battery through the service history, not sure if previous owner had a new one put in.

Thanks again for your response man!

Check your wiring such as Ground straps too inside engine bay. If these are loose it can cut power to injectors, coils and other electric components.
