2010 Camaro SS/RS better bang for the buck?

Title says it all. You can get a fully loaded Camaro SS with RS & 2SS packages for ~35.7k 422hp and expected 0-60 of ~4.5 sec

The packages include:

2SS goodies:
Boston Acoustics 9 speaker 245watt audio w/ mp3
Bluetooth
dimming mirrors
heated mirrors
steering wheel controls
remote vehicle start (auto only)
Leather
Heated seats
Universal home remote
USB port connection

1SS goodies:
Brembo brakes 4 piston calibers
Limited Slip Diff
Engine oil cooler
Stainless Exhaust
OnStar
keyless Entry
Power seats
Stability control
Performance suspension
Tire pressure monitoring kit
Transmission oil cooler
20" Dubs
XM Radio

RS goodies:
20" dubs, midnight silver painted
HID headlights
Unique RS stuff

Now the question is, is a stripped down 135 with leather, m package, and ipod worth $4000+ more than this V8 beast?

There's dyno tests with just a cam/intake/exhaust on an LS3 producing 460 whp!

I may be ordering a camaro instead of a 135i!

Bang for buck, the 370Z and Camaro SS are far better. Change the priorities of your comparison and you're going to have different answers.

SS for me between those two. I hope you don't see the Camaro on every corner though. The fact of not being able to get the V8 in white was a deal killer....I think.

370Z/SS I would go SS, probably. The back seat ain't much but it is still there.

OT: I went and looked at the CTS-V this morning. Next door at the P/GMC store they had a G8 GXP. Black/black. It looked decent in pics but did not impress me up close. The tail lights look like hell in person. The e-brake was pulled up and it looked like a cheap ax handle. The leather looked like pleather from a cheap purse. It was rather disappointing.

The CTS-V on the other hand was pretty sweet in person. $800 for the polished wheels...pshhhh. The natural finish looked much better IMO. That grill would get hit with a black paint gun or after market so fast it would make you dizzy.

Oh i failed to mention, 100,000 mile warranty.

Priorities taken into consideration, I can't justify spending $4000 on a car that is option very similar. Can anyone else?

You can get 1SS or 2SS package in Summit White with factory painted stripes if you want! People bitched at GM for the weird colors you couldnt get and now its pretty open. The automatic tranny is paired to the L99 engine which deactivates 4 cyclinders when cruising on the highway. I saw this engine running at the Miami Beach Autoshow connected to a dyno and ran by a GM engineer...pretty cool imo.

SS! Mmmm this would def my 2nd car if I could afford both the 135i & SS.... Ive always loved chevy and even though many dont like the interior of Chevys I think this New SS has been upgraded by an extreme amt. The resale value stays pretty well on Camaros (I believe) but I do know on some model they reduce by a lot within time... The power it offers is quite impressive even though its heavier than the cars like the Challenger R/T or GT's or Z's or the 135i Im pretty sure bc of the LS9 V8 it wont have any problems... I know the weight may make it difficult on a real track but I think it just takes a good driver.

Two completely different vehicles. The camaro will be almost raw, whereas the 135 is very compact and refined.

I'm selling my car and will probably get the Camaro 2SS package. The sensation you get behind the wheel of a V8 is a completely different world. I love it.

American Muscle Cars ftw. I actually the new Camero in Tysons Corner last week, not bad.

I'm still sticking to German engineering

MSRP on that 135 is $39k - but I am absolutely positive you should be able to get your 1 for $2k less than MSRP these days.

I wonder what the weight difference is between the Camaro and the 135i...

If you want to make a good decision, test drive both cars back to back (as much as possible). Don't get hung up on the HP numbers - see how the cars feel and perform first.
