I dont think that there is one out there.
I could be wrong, but the resistor method is the only one that I know of.

Not sure about the bulb for the BMW, but there are a crap ton of standard hyper white indicator bulbs out there. Find the bulb style and search ebay for that number and hyper white. I'll try to find the model number, but believe me they are out there.

Actually, JLevisw.com sells them and you can get them so they don't show the blue tint in the headlight housing. Let me know if you need help finding them. I believe you need the 7507 bulb.

Hmm, it is going to be hard to get white I think without LED. You are going to likely end up with something with a yellow tint or a blue tint. Wish ya the best of luck though!

not to bring up an old thread, but for those of you looking for the bulb, i went to my local pepboys and found them. problem was they had a blue film around the bulb so during the day it looked blue in my headlight instead of orange but at night they weren't that bad. I returned em and ordered some Jlevisw front and side led bulbs w/ resistors

Theres no bulb to replace it but you do have two options.
option 1: You can shut that bulb off so it will never turn on.
Option 2: You can have it , that amber never shows except when you change lanes.
I did option 2 and Love it.

Whats the 1% difference? Could I put a 1156 bulb in its place and work with no errors or is there some modifying required?

You just have to snip off/grind down one of the nubs on the bulb.

As for error free on an E90 (and on a E46) Ive used these with no resistors:

I would recommend a High-Powered LED conversion setup for the cleanest look. Here's an example of ours installed on a customer's car:
