It may differ from one insurance company to another. I have Mercury insurance and when i signed up for it, they asked me if there would be any other drivers of my vehicle and I said no. When they send you the policy there's a section that lists any other drivers to the vehicle.
I am guessing that in the event that my car gets into an accident and the driver is not me, I would think that this would mean very bad things for me and my insurance rates, etc.. But I am not positive |

it can go to his insurance if he owns a car... but if he doesnt have a car insurance policy under his name then your only choice would be to claim against your own insurance. which means your rates would go up.
