Cracked Windshield Help in NorCal
Did a search but not many NorCal Auto Glass fixing location.
Any help or recommendation, please post price if you can? The crack is pretty bad so probably a full replacement. Should I pick the OEM replacement too? Sorry really not an expert on this. Thanks and any help is greatly appreciated. Eric =) |

I replaced mine through this guy (Jerry)
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/aos/1303497370.html I got quoted $320 total (that included replacing the top rubber strip, which was an extra $20), which is a great deal. I was really skeptical at first, but the quality of the glass , dare i say, is better than OEM: it is much stronger and doesn't pick up rock chips as easy. It's been 6 months and absolutely no problems: the glass is perfect, the insulation is solid so no external noise, no leaks, rain sensor works. The entire windshield swap took about 2 hours. He does everything himself and has a handful of tools in his white van. You might wanna stick around because he is a small guy and he does need some help with lifting the broken windshield and putting on the new one. I hope this helped. |

Finally got the windshield replaced. United Auto Collision Center in Burlingame is top notch shop. Their quality of work is unbelievable.
Strongly recommend if you need any kind of body work or paint job as well. Look for Alvin or Gabe. |
