JB+ to JB3 Upgrade
Upgraded for JB+ to JB3 over the weekend also put on BMS dual cone intake. Install went ok, took my typical double the amount of expected time but not to bad. Having the cowl off probably made the dci install easier.
I was running the JB+ half way between 50% and 75% on 91 oct with solenoid bypass. A couple of times I ran at the level at 93oct (mixed 91 and 100). Running the JB3 on default map 3 on 91oct. The first difference was definitely the sound of the turbos being audible with the dci. The main difference though is the power. Even with the solenoid bypass there seemed to be some lag but with map 3 the lag is not evident. The power in the higher rpm range seems to hold on much longer. Temperatures may be a little lower also. I have to watch it more from a stop as traction control stays on longer when I step on it and I end up at at high speed. Going to have to learn to control my lead foot! Overall very happy with the upgrade. Well worth it for 91oct. |

Sounds good. Put some 93 in there and try MAPs 5 then 7, you'll get the new meaning of POWER.
