So much for the 323/325 comparison...

So I went to bmw (hk) to order a new 323i with options...

And he said... 'it's no longer available'. From this year on, there will be no more 323, only 320/325/330/335.

Great....., but he had no information about the pricing on the new 320 or the 325 yet...

So i decided to leave the dealership.... (Anyway, I don't want a 2010 because my parents won't be coming to HK until next year)....

So I guess I have to hold off the purchase...

Nonetheless guys... thanks for the info... I will ask again... about 325 vs. 320... (around 85 hp difference)....

i think 320 is good enough for your parents in hk. there is endless traffic jam in hk. so they dun need dat much hp imo. driving skill is everything . look at those taxi driver wif their beat up toyata crown and even those mini bus guy. take a ride in mini bus and go to Shek O and u will kno sometime u dun need a fancy ride to be fast as long as u push it to it's limit.

why do you need to share a car with your parents?
can they get a 525 and you get a 320?

I am not sharing, I am buying a car just for them. I drive an SL350. But it's not very good for their purposes you see. And on top of that, I don't think they quite like the long bonnet of the SL anyway.

The entire purpose of the 3 series is for them when they are around. I don't really want to buy a 5 series because it's not really that small. They find the 3 series/ C class to be the right size, so I really only have 3 choices... A5/C/3.

But I was pretty much set on the 323.. now I am going to talk to Audi and merc to see if they have anything reasonable.

I don't really want to be spending more than 65000 CAD on a car that is non-frequently used, and pay extra for the super big horse power. Hence my original question, is the 323 good enough.
