Premium Package = $2450 Sports Package = $1000 Step = $1275 Paddle = $100 Navi = $2100 Comfort = $500 MSRP Total = $48025 Approximate fees and taxes as per quote ($52400-$48025) = $4375 It appears that you are getting quoted MSRP for the car. I am not sure what your tax rate is or what fees you are getting charged, but it looks like you are getting charged MSRP or very close to it. If you really want to get a good deal on a car do some homework prior to going to the dealer to make a deal. Have some paperwork with you that lists all your options, and associated price (I had invoice price of each option as well). That way at least you know how much room the dealer has to play with when you make an offer. As for coming up with a number that you will be happy with as an offer, I found that it really depends on where you are buying the car and timing. Some say $500 over invoice is a fair price, and I agree if you can get a dealer to agree to this. But keep in mind that this car has just been released and all the hype is making it harder and harder to push for a price lower than what the dealer knows he can sell the car for (ED or PD is a very good option as the car does not come out of the dealers allocation so negotiating a price is easier). I was able to get my car at $1100 over invoice (order back in October), the same dealer is now only willing to take $500 off of MSRP since allocation is limited and the demand is high. My dealer also reflects the delivery time that your quote included, about 4 months for delivery. My sister is in the market for the same car and is trying to get the same deal I got from my dealer. According to him, his production slots for the e92 have been filled through Jan., next available production slot is the first week of Feb! |

Too much man I would build one online, see what that costs, and then make sure you don't pay anything near that, well within reason. Use the invoice prices too then you have a high and a low to work with on price range.

theres more to the story....i was really looking to pay 48....reason being....i know the head sales manager....he is a customer of mine.....and i take good care of him.....my family has bought several cars from him....and i have sent numerous people his way who actually bought cars from him....i understand these cars are hot and their is some in like who might pay 52k for it.....i just though with the deal people are getting on this board....that 48k was reasonable! i didnt expect him to give the car away. |

before i ordered my car i I built it on Edmonds.com and then sent they(edmonds) sent my specs to the three nearest dealers. One came back with an "internet special" price. I ended up going to a different dealership and they beat the number from the other guy and I got an additional $100 off and floor mats (they are not standard btw) for a total of about $1800 of MSRP. In looking in this forum I would say that my deal was average to maybe a little better than most. IMO lots of people here inflate the discounts they receive at dealerships, but I have seen anywhere from MSRP to $500 over invoice stated here. I believe dealer's margin is about $4000 on a loaded e92 335, so you do the math

Add up the numbers and see if 48K is reasonable, the difference between invoice and MSRP on a loaded 335i coupe is ~$4k. So looking at it, you actually want the car at invoice since you are asking for $48k out the door.
