I got into my little accident so now I can't install it.
I picked up all the parts needed to add the additional radiator. It took a while to get the parts because they had to come from Germany. Then I got into the accident 2 days before I received the parts. Also, my Intake sort of prevents the install as well. The main reason why I am posting here is because there were quite a few of use that were solely interested in these parts for the cooling instead of purchasing the entire BMW Perf Package but we couldn't find the part numbers.. If anyone is running a DCI or stock air box and wants extra cooling then this is definitely the mod for you. You don't have to purchase the entire performance kit. The parts that I picked up include: -Radiator (17117602241) -New hose to the pump (that Ts off to the additional radiator) (17127602294) -New hose from the heater core to the main radiator (that Ts off to the additional radiator) (64219222129) -Bracket for radiator (51647154545) -Mounting hardware

Sorry to hear about your car! How small is the "small" accident? Hope nothing to expensive...
Anyway if I understand you well, you bought the radiator parts of the BMW PF kit? I have been thinking about that also for a while but did not pull the trigger as my understanding was that we would need additional software.... so your strategy is to install it without the additional fan? Sounds like a plan....

IMO, you don't need the fan. I found the part numbers of each part and ordered them seperately. It's somewhat like the same thinking as adding an additional oil cooler. The coolant is going to be going through both radiators to displace the heat better.

Mr. 5, you lack the plastic backplate which comes behind the radiator. Also the air ducts (different sets depending on your new bumper of choice) would really be helpful to get the most out of that radiator.

The radiator would have sat in front of the opening of my M3 rep bumper and I would have dremeled the openings in the back of the wheel well liner. If anyone wants those parts, those are available for order.

The main reason why I posted it here was not to sell it but to let people know that the parts can be obtained.
When the BMW Performance Package came out, there were quite a few of us that were solely interested in just the cooling part of the package but we couldn't find the part numbers. Now, we can. I edited my first post as well.

I would say yes; it would be impossible.
There's not that much room to get the tube in that area and the radiator input/output lines would take the place of the tubing.

How much did the parts set you back? Looks like a good alternative to upgrading the radiator.

It was just under 400 shipped for everything. No, but some people do. I have the bigger VK oil cooler but some people have the additional AR oil cooler (that goes in the same spot as this radiator) Quote:
The part numbers do exist but they aren't in their web site yet.

Hi Greg (I believe)
Another thing I was thinking about, isn't it that the ECU is managing temps quite sophisticated as in; while running under normal load the engine head is kept on normal temp but while on heavy load the temp is higher, which is besided of the combustion also manipulated by the ecu? In short, the engine increases the temp of the engine head under heavy load. I believe Shiv stated such a thing some days / weeks ago.... Would adding a radiator not affect this? The reason I ask is that I get a lot of mixed oppinions about what temp the N54 should operate on.... What is your opinion about this?
