iDrive w/o Nav Pricing
I bought the iDrive package not so much for the navigation, but more for the LCD screen and the enhanced displays when controlling the radio and car functions. So this option costs us $2000. The 525i option for navigation (since it already comes with iDrive and the screen) is $1800.
Now I'm fairly certain that the iDrive system alone is probably something more than $200 (factored into the base price of the 525) but I wonder how much BMW would charge to offer just the iDrive system, no nav, on the E90. I think that it would be an option a lot more people would opt for that way. Any insights into this?

Oh, I know they don't offer iDrive alone. This is more of a "things I wish they would have and wonder how much they would cost if they did" kind of thread.
When I get my car in November, and if I get a call from BMW asking for follow-up, I'll suggest it though.

I think most people would not get just the idrive because I don't think it be worth the extra money just to be adjust specific car settings electronically. This is the reason why idrive is standard and NOT an option for the 5 and 7 series. Because BMW knew most people wouldn't get it.
