JB3 to JB4 harness rewire DIY
I found the original write up a lil confusing so i figured a lil more pictures and less reading might help some of us out better.
1. Locate the large black connector remove the red/brown/white wires! 2. Locate the gray remove the 2 wires 1 and 14 on far right as shown. 3. brown female goes into #1, white female goes into #14 TOO easy to mess up! Now we're left with a pair of RED wires. 4. Locate the white connector remove wire #17 and swap over pair of red wires should look like the photo on the right. 5. We'll be left with 3 wires from previous removal, basically fill in the blanks and put them back onto the black connector. (bridge the gaps) 6. Last the power supply wire insert pin #19 on the DB25 and we're done. If i left anything out pls chime in guys. |

Thanks for the write up. Here is a link to mine so with both of these I should have no more PMs asking questions <hint>

Lokks good. Can someone please clarify which wire it is that we remove from the green connector to tap into the power? Color and location would be great. I assume it is not one of the two you can see going into the green connector from the top, but rather one going in from the underside that you can access when you slide out the green connector?

It's the wire in the number 2 position on the bottom of the green connector assembly. It's labeled 1 to 4 on one side and 5 to 8 on the other, if you look closely.

There are only two wires on the connector. One of them is right up against the side of the connector and the other one is sorta in the middle. Its the middle one you want. (in case you can't see the numbers) Mike |

Very helpful, especially the step showing BOTH brown wires.
