JB+ Question

Hey guys quick question, Im getting my JB+ chip in a week but i wont have a BT cable for another two weeks. I plan on running at 50% untill i get the cable. I have heard that setting it between 50-75% wont throw a code but i wanted to see what you guys think.

I have the JB+ and I ran it for a week at 50% then went to 100% with the bypass and have been running it for a little over a month n never seen a code.

FWIW, I ran mine at 100% for the better part of a year and never threw a code. Your mileage may vary, however.

Terry recommends that you change the Vacuum lines around and by pass a solenoid. At 50% I never experianced any issues, when i bumped it up to max i did get limp modes, but actually most of the time I wouldn't get a limp at all, i would just loose boost.

How hard or involved is it to change around the vacuum lines? I didn't plan on doing anything but plugging and playing.

its not hard, just the first time you do it the lines will be seated pretty good from 2-3 years of being in place, just take your time, and if you pull out a knife your doing it wrong. I believe it is shown how to do the bypass on the JB2 pin out, not 100% on that though.

Imo you shouldnt run a jb+ more than 50%, since its not a tune it just raises the boost without modifyig any other parameters...just put it at default setting and thats it.
