Upcoming BMW CCA Events?
I've been looking into some of the upcoming BMW CCA events. Particularly the Car Control Clinic/Autocross School and the Spring Performance Driving School at HPR.
Is anyone attending either of these or attended in the past? Now that I have a fast car I figured it was time to learn how to drive it properly.

I'll be there at least one day fo' sure. Probably be there both days, may volunteer one day, but I just volunteered for their ice gymkhana. So maybe I'll drive both days. C. Roth wants me to sign up for instructor training too, gotta see 'bout that.
Speaking of this, I may go to HPR on March 19. I think the following week there's a NASA HPDE.

I have a cool idea. Ask Andrew if you can set up your HD camera on the inside of turn #3 and film a session of cars approaching the apex from turn in. I have a small tripod that would sit the camera 8-10 inches off the ground. I think the inside of the apex by 10 feet would be safe for camera (and drivers). Edit: Turn #1 wouldn't be bad either. If it's not windy (ha!) you could place the camera on the cement barrier, the same one that hides "the view" from the grand stands.

Dude have you ever done one of their CCCs? They are freaking awesome! You should go! They do a slalom course, wet skid pad, breaking..... It is actually really fun.

I think they actually have an Auto-X training course set up this year too at the CCC, I remember reading that somewhere.

It was actually a pretty good experience, seeing what people did right, and did wrong. Seeing the difference between how an XI vs. an I takes certain corners (corner 5 especially) is interesting too.
