My 335i project thread - Rolling Roaded 3.09.11
Hi guys, been on the forums for a while now and haven't put up any pics of my car. First of all the spec:
Alpine White 335i M Sport late 2008 Professional sat nav w/ hard drive 19" Wheels (now cracked and awaiting stock for warantee replacement) Comfort access Logic 7 DAB Manual transmission I had to replace the wheels with Alufelgen CS7s as both rears cracked and were losing pressure. I'm waiting for the replacements from Sytner Sutton, which shouldnt be too much longer. I've also fitted a JB4 from Neil@Juiced up tuning and I'm really impressed with the performance of the car. I can safely say that the car has been transformed with the extra power and the additional features are really useful. Gave it a quick clean and took a few pics in the fading light. For some reason the fog lights have come out yellow in the pics, when in reality they standard. Anyway onto the pics: I'm still waiting to have my Borla exahust fitted along with the new Dimisa tips that I purchased off here. Today I also picked up a brand new BMW performance steering wheel which should be fitted as soon as I get the chance. Last edited by idnan; 09-03-2011 at 01:05 PM.. |

nice1, looks really nice. Are they 18" wheels though? Some angles they look really small.
How is the jb4 working out? |

I'm constantly driving around with this expression on my face: It has felt like a new car again, the power delivery is immense. I'm not saying that the standard 335i is slow but the n54 has so much more potential with a remap/chip. The ability to code read and clear is a great bonus, which reminds me that I need to install the USB cable to the glovebox so that I can update the JB4 and try out the autotuning and look at a few logs. |

That looks great. Sunroof too, a rare but great option (I had one on my 335i), nice set of suble mods planned to enhance it further. Wheels are great. Nice one.

Cheers for the kind comments chaps. Forgot to mention I also have a modified clutch delay valve to fit. Due to the high mileage the front bumper is badly stonechipped so will get it repainted in the summer.
A long with fitting the above parts, I'm thinking of buying: BMW performance carbon fibre trims BMW performance short shift kit and gearknob Carbon fibre rear spoiler and diffuser Dual cone intakes And if I keep the car long enough Quaife LSD, AR Design resonated downpipes and FMIC Glad I've joined up here as I've learnt loads Thanks for the invite, but I'm working that weekend. Would love to come to a meet in the future. |

I had a SSK fitted to my 135i, which made gear changes sooo much nicer.Recommended.

How much of a change was there in the 'throw' when changing gear? Did you find it felt more direct? I find myself searching a bit when going from 2nd to 3rd

I ended up refitting the original M Sport knob and gaiter, as I didn't like the feel of the SSK one. Also the SSK knob weighed exactly the same as the M sport. |

Awesome car.
Interesting that you have the later HDD based navigation. This is something I've found quite confusing lately - I realise that all LCI E90's have HDD Nav, and assumed the E92's gained it at the same time - 58 plate. But on searching the BMW AUC site not a single 58 plate Coupe had HDD Nav, infact the oldest car I could find with it fitted was a May 09. What is your cars date of registration? |

The build/reg date November 2008 and I was suprised myself to see that it had iDrive 2. I've only ever seen one other 58 plate 3 series on the AUC with the later nav and that was an e91. I'm guessing that it's because build date and registration dates aren't always the same and I was lucky to get an early one with it. It's not all good though, as I still can't access BMW Online and Sytner have told me they're waiting for new software to come out to sort it. |
