What can the germans offer us?

Hi guys,

Heading to gemany over the summer and I wondered if anyone had any experience of buying parts over there?

More specifically is there any area of modding BMW they do better than here in the uk? And most importantly is there a saving?

I haven't got any specifics in mind, just curious! (although may try and break into alpina factory)
