ConnectedDrive settings???

I appreciate there's an iDrive/ConnectedDrive section but this seemed to be UK specific hence the post. It also didn't seem to be technical enough for the Technical Forum.

I have the BMW Professional Package and I'm registered at ConnectedDrive for all the bells and whistles but there are a couple of things that don't seem to be right. I'm missing a couple of phone numbers...

Firstly...

As you can see there is no number for 'Hotline' which I understand I need if I can't remember how a car works.

Secondly...

There also seems to be a number missing for 'Your Service'. The use of which I'm a little hazy about.

There is little or no information in the manual before anyone says and after a genuinely comical visit to my dealer they couldn't shed any light on things either (cheers Nathan )

So what should be there and at what point should this data have been inputted to the vehicle?

Don't know about the OP, but I have and it didn't make any difference to these numbers.

I'm sure it is something that the dealer is supposed to set, but like almost everything to do with i-drive, none of them have the first clue.

Yes, everything is registered.

True. But at least they were willing to admit they had no idea. I get on very well with Nathan at Sytner Sheffield and the half an hour trying to work this out was genuinely funny.

I have my answer. My guy at Sytner to their Master Tech...

Quote:
My customer has come in with his connected drive and the numbers in the car haven’t been loaded in (hotline etc). BMW connected drive helpline people don’t really know but they thought it should be loaded in at PDI via our server?

Quote:
Yes these numbers are not specific to connected drive – but are present if the car has the telephone option. The numbers are set by me on the main servers then transferred by our diagnostic equipment during PDI. It may be that during the last update the numbers were wiped. It isn’t the end of the world. The car will still be up and operational.

To rectify I’ll check the numbers are stored on the servers and have transferred to each diagnostic ISID. It will then be a case of getting the car back in, and resetting the numbers through our diagnostic equipment.
