Returning Liqueur to the LCBO without a Receipt?

Anyone know if the LCBO will take back unopened liqueur bottles without a receipt?

I need to get rid of some things in my place (girlfriend request - damn women and their powers to control us lol). And I noticed I have quite a few bottles lying around.

Namely:

1 bottle of Grey Goose 750 ml (retails for $47.95 + tax)
1 bottle of Belvedere 750ml (retails for $48.30 + tax)
1 bottle Wyborowa Exquisite Vodka 750ml (retails for $44.95 + tax)
2 bottles of Tawny Port 10 year Taylor Fladgate (retails for $34.95 + tax)
1 bottle of Hennessy VSOP 750ml (retails for $88.80 + tax)
1 bottle of Courvoisier 750ml (retails for $84.95 + tax)
2 bottles of Champagne
12 Bottles of wine
1 bottle of Bacardi Black 750ml (retails for $23.40 + tax)
1 bottle of Captain Morgan Private Stock 750ml (retails for $34.95 + tax)

And that's just whats sealed lol. I have a bunch of bottles that are opened, but mostly full.

So yeah, I look like an alcoholic lmao....but that's like 1-2 grand sitting in my office at home, so if i could return some of it, it would be good

Any ideas???

You would look more like an alcoholic if you had no booze in your place, since it'd all be gone. I have no idea if they will take unopened bottles. My gut says no.

From the Toronto Star:

The Liquor Control Board of Ontario has quietly changed its return policy so customers will require a receipt to get a refund or exchange a bottle.

As of Sept. 30, the provincially owned monopoly has decreed that retail customers have only 30 days from the date of purchase to get their money back or turn in unwanted products for something else.

In the event that a customer has lost or misplaced a receipt, the store manager could issue a gift card worth the amount of the bottle.

Damn sorry to hear that bud, but it seems you are whipped

Sorry couldn't resist it

Anyways thats really difficult to return without receipt.

Ideas...

1) Keep then and have a "small" party @ your place with friends or fellow e90s
2) You can bring them if you get invited to a party
3) Sell them here or Kijiji (not sure whats the law for that)
4) Wait till Christmas or New Years
5) Hide them from your gf
6) Bring them to your parents/family and keep it there until needed just dont forget it

don't think you can sell booze on classifieds...need a license to sell any type of alcohol....ie..lcbo or a bar/restaurant....

I received some alcohol for Christmas; I took it back without receipts, but I could only exchange it for someting else; no refund. You could do that and get whatever you drink; beer or wine, etc. As long as it has the LCBO product # on the label you should have no problem.

you know how I know you're gay..... you want to return booze!

Seriously though, you don't rack up that amount of "extra" booze because you're not a drinker. $100 on it being all gone by August.
