Superchips Bluefin vs Evolve switch for 335d

Need a remap for my e92 335d and want to be able to install it remotely, as well as going back to original map.

I found 2 equipments able to do exactly that. The Superchips Bluefin and the Evolve Switch.

The evolve switch starts higher price (£535) and claims more aggressive figures (350hp and 700nm) than superchips bluefin that just claims to deliver 314hp and 600nm for £455.

But whatís behind the official information?

My bluefin experience in my previous e61 535d 272hp was fine as the car seemed quicker than my e92 335d 286hp, so the hp part does work but on the other hand the mpg dropped around 10% stable average for more than 10k miles.

The installation process is quite easy but slow. Part of the process is quite scary as the computer returns fault errors for every component in the car.

The remap worked fine with an exception: in 6th gear the engine cuts around 3.900rpm! Iíve reported the problem to superchips they send me a couple modified maps back and some wrong files in between but they really never sorted it out.

That was my experience with the bluefin.

It would be great to have your inputs of real world information (ex. text, dyno charts).

It would be great to have your story or dyno chart from bluefin and/or switch remaps on x35d engines.

thanks in advance.

Id say looking into ESS tuning im pretty sure they have a handheld loader for the diesel cars and are very smooth operating systems. I have the tune on my car but im gas not diesel so i cant really speculate on how the diesel tune is but the gas tune is awesome. Just my .02 cents
