Small Orange Bulb in Headlight Corner

Does anyone know what the hell this small amber light is for in the corner of the e92 headlight and is there any way to replace it with a white bulb?

Can't replace it. You can code it out.

You can replace it if you really wanted to. Solder a new one in.

You can replace it, but you may have to open the headlights to do it, I had mine coded out, it is there for some stupid north american side marker light law of some sort that they don't have in europe (just like the ugly side reflectors).

Do these corner lights blink amber when the turn signals are on as well? If so, does the coding mentioned here disable that as well?

Unless he coded your car with the headlights in, I doubt he really coded it. To actually code it, you would need to have the USB connected to the OBD port.

He probably just cut the wire.

I got mine coded by Sal@Camber-Toe, and its doesn't come on anymore.

Ok to bring this thread back before I cut my wire...

I have a 2007 E92 that has my corner lights coded out but that small corner LED is still on. For some reason its not deleted on mine but later-build e92s have been completely deleted with the code.

Is it possible for pre 07 build to have this unfortunate issue that I HAVE to cut the wires to get rid of the corner LED?

Not really need to cut off the wire, just unplug it but yes headlight must be open. Check out poor man oss thread on DIY section.
