Price? Do you buy these from the BMW shops at the dealerships? What does it look like with the key in it?

Is it mainly for CA or it's comfortable for non-CA as well?
The thing that "opens" in the picture is meant to be the fob itself and what I'm seeing in the picture is merely a placeholder?

Any part number? I see something on the plastic wrapper but some digit may be missing.

Price is about US$20. I bought it at the BMW dealer today

I don't have my BMW key fob with me today, so I can't try it with my key fob.

Take a look at the photo....there is a dummy key fob that comes with it.

I don't know if there is a different one for CA key fobs....

Yes, it is sort of a leather protection for your Key Fobs...

The part number is 51 21 0 414 778

I am not 100% sure, but I think it is leather.

Don't think there is a need for the clip. They key fob fit in there perfectly and it won't slide out easily.

The word fob is believed to have originated from watch fobs, which existed as early as 1888. The fob refers to an ornament attached to a pocket-watch chain. Key chains, car starters, garage door openers, and keyless entry devices on hotel room doors are also called fobs.
