What should I get with my 335i Coupe?
What should I get with my 335i Coupe? The general manager mentioned there should be a quart of oil in the trunk and I noticed it was not there. It also looks like there is a spot for a pen in the owners manual that is empty. What all did you get with your car.
I love this car, cannot believe how fast it is. Now if I could just figure out how to pair my phone with it. My phone is compatible and I went through the directions in the maunal and nothing. |

Did the dealer help you with pairing? He should've done it before u drove it off the lot...you gotta input your pin number when the system prompts for it...what phone do you have, maybe we can help you...

Did you get the roadside emergency triangle and the first aid kit described in the manuals. I didn't get them, and no pen or oil either.
I think the NA versions don't come with these extra goodies...

Well, mine came with a pretty car hefty car payment... did you get one of those?
There is a legal requirement that you need a safety triangle and first aid kit to sell a car in Germany. Regarding the Bluetooth, I suggest you do a search on this forum for "bluetooth" and your phone model -- such as "treo 650" or "blackberry". I had some trouble pairing, but once I followed the tips on this forum it worked like a charm. BMW sent me a nice DVD set in the mail about a month after my car came. But no pen there either... Good luck. |

Triangle and first aid kit are only in Europe. However if you do an ED they have to give it to you as you have to have it in your car there by law. However if you don't take it with you when you drop off the car it magically disappears before you take redelivery or so I'm told.

Got the phone figured out.
Did anybody get a pen with all there manual? I don't want to yell at them if I wasn't supposed to get one. Kinda pecuilar that there is a spot for one. How about a magnet for resetting the tire monitor or do I do that through I-Drive? Cannot say how much I love this car. Can't wait to see it wit a few coats of Zaino on it. |

I purchased a right shoe with lead in the toe for after the break-in period.
In all seriousness I purchased, from bavauto.com, a bmw quart of oil "holder" ...its a nylon zippered bag with velcro on the back which easily sticks to the surfaces in the trunk. Comes with some oil cones...put it in the oil hole - no spills. Just a back up - its important to carry at least 1 quart of extra oil just in case. I've not needed it and don't expect I will. Its nice though, says BMW on it ...was $4.95. I wouldn't half mind the First Aid kit either - there has been a situation here and there throughout the years where I could have used one. I did not get a pen with the manual. What magnet, heh. The phone pairing was very easy for me, with a Motorola V3xx, it works like a charm...very pleased with the bluetooth feature - iDrive makes it a sinch. |

so enough about what you should have gotten.....let's try and focus on what you can ask for since the car is still fairly new. hehe
I asked for: - Cargo net (its the bomb) - its like a $75 value - An original Formula 1 hat I saw in the display case while at the dealer. I got them both for free Now.....needed mods: - H&R rear sway bar (world of difference in handling) - M short shift knob (if you have a manual) - 15mm rear wheel spacers (they look great and make your car look more aggressive and "right" - makes your rear wheels flush with the body) See my link to pics of my car and you'll see the diff - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58779 And DONT FORGET to change your oil at 1,200 miles. Request a free "break-in" oil change form your dealer. they may not give it, mine did, but its worth it. Your car will run like a dream after this and feel soooo smooth. Enjoy your new ride and drive safe!

I can't believe anyone would be concerned about the pen...
Geez is BMW still the ultimate driving machine or the ultimate writing instrument these days? As to the quart of oil, many dealer's will top it off for you, so just go there if you need oil.

I got a quart of oil in the trunk in a zippered bag that sticks to the side of the luggage area with velcro. I got carpet-type mats, plus an extra set of the rubber mats in the trunk for winter. Also got a large hardcover book: "The Ultimate History of BMW", and a basket full of lady things like olive oil, soap, hand cream, and candles. The guy paired my phone too.
Although in Canada we don't get the proper iPod cable for the 6FL, there was a USB extension cable in the glove box. |
