Dual post: 1. How long do you let your turbo cool down for 2. 2012 335is ..any change

I was looking over the 2012 335is...didn't know if they were going to come out with them again in 2012 but I guess they did.

Is it the same exact car? Any changes? I notice some of them have fog lights? Mine has the black vents in the front which I like way better...

Also, does anyone know how long you should let your car sit before turning it off? Tonight I went on a run, then pulled it in my drive way and sat in park for about 2-3 minutes and then shut it off...too long? not long enough? My friend has a WRX and he actually leaves and locks his doors and the car stays on and shuts off by itself to allow for the turbo's to cool down....I have heard it helps on the life span.

Just shut it down when your done driving the ball bag off it, the electric water pump will kick on and cool the turbos.

I just take it easy for a few minutes before I reach my destination. Its an old habit from my previous turbocharged car since I never got a turbo timer.

5 minute cool down drive then 3 minute idle time. After a breakfast run I let it cool down over a smoke and chatting with the other guys, normally 10 minutes.

It never hurts for the car to run idle for 1 or 2 minutes.

Fog lights are exclusive to the convertibles.

Let engine idle for 1 minute minimum after driving it hard.
Electric water pump doesnt grt the oil flowing to cool down the turbos properly.
