Non-RFT Tires
Hi,
I picked up a new 335i a few months back from a BMW dealer in Toronto, it was a demo with only a few kilometres logged. Last weekend I realized that the tires are not RFT but regular tires. Is this normal or acceptable? I feel like these guys screwed me over here. Anyone had a similar experience? Thanks.

As you are aware, stock tires are RFTs. Make sure you fight this... (unless during the process they have listed on the bill of sale that the tires were non-RFTs) So check your bill of sale...because if its on the bill of sale, then they can easily say that they told you...so just becareful.... |

which dealer is this? we got to make sure no one else go to this dealer again, or if they do, they will be more diligent before signing anything off.

I called them and they assured me they are RFT, so I want to make sure that they're not before saying which dealership they are. Thing is the tire doesn't say anything about run flat, and when it was just floored on the weekend when i had a flat.
Will keep you updated.

Just got back from the dealer who confirmed that they are indeed RFT. The reason why they were floored like that when I had a flat was probably because of the side wall size.
Anyway now I know for a fact that I have the right tires. Thanks everyone for your concern and input.

BMW has to sell with RFT. Many "driving enthusiast" hate RTFs. My 2008 335i drives so much better with "regular" tires.
Yeah, I have no spare. But 90% of flats can be fixed at any tire shop in Canada. RTFs cannot be fixed. |
