Chances of a 2009 328 CPO for $30K
Hi gang,
I'm looking at getting a 2009 323 this weekend, but I thought I'd ask your collective opinion if I could possibly find a 2009 328 CPO for $30K including taxes? I'm hearing that local Vancouver dealers don't like to deal much on CPO's and I don't have much to trade in. Feel free to post or PM me with any suggestions as it would be really appreciated. Thanks for any help! Last edited by Klipspringer; 03-02-2012 at 02:37 AM.. |

Short answer, yes I think so. I got my 325i at around the same age and was able to get it CPO under 30k after taxes.

Including taxes? Might be a bit of a stretch, but just about doable. There is a 2009 with premium, leather, auto at BMW Langley for $29,900 plus tax. That would be $33,488 including BC HST. I don't know if they would knock off $3,500. Also, it has 69,000 km. For something with more reasonable mileage, you're probably going to have to spend closer to $34k. Prices seem high at Vancouver dealers, but at least you know they haven't been exposed to Ontario salt.

Thanks for the PM attempt ... I thought I could receive (but not send) them!
Yes, I think it might be too hard. It I waited until September/October I bet I could do it but I'd like to pick up something now. We'll see how the 323 checks out ... |

Yes I saw that car at BMW Langley. The KMs are OK for me, but the colour combo doesn't work for me. I did email them about a couple of cars earlier this week, but they haven't responded yet. |

I dont know if your interested or not but I have my 2008 328xi CPO for sale its alpine white and black leatherette. The kms is on the higher side (77k) but it can be had much lower then 30k taxed in.

Thanks froz_v. I might indeed go the private route, but for now I'll focus on the 2009 model year from a dealer ... might indeed have to wait a few months.

I think you just got to stay patient, getting the right car at the right price can take some time. I took me a few months to find a car with the right options, in the price range i was looking at. But I finally found a 08 E92 335Xi with most of the things i was looking for.
I too would've like to get a 09, but for the price i paid i'll just buy the tail lights a call it a day. |

But right afterwards I test drove a 2008 328i. There's a bigger difference than I thought. I knew there would be a torque difference, but what surprised me was that the car handled a lot differently. More glued, sharper steering, and overall extremely solid and balanced. The 323i was sort of mushy feeling. I don't really understand this as I thought the chassis was the same. Regardless, the 323i is off the table for now Ratz! Thought I could save a few bucks!!! So it's a 328i. I might make an offer on the car I test drove as I told them I had no intention on buying today and just wanted to see what improvements were made in the 25 years since my last BMW |

There is a large difference between the 323 and 325/328. Wait until the right deal comes thru instead of settling and you will be much happier. |
