South Lake Tahoe
Hi Everyone:
Just got married and going to have the honeymoon in South Lake Tahoe. Been researching using the usual internet travel resources. Any advice on what to do and see? We are into nature and scenic tours. Also like unique restaurants Thanks. |

Congrats on taking the BIG Plunge! Wife and I went there last year for day or two while going from San Fran to Vegas. It is absolutely beautiful in that part you guys will love the scenery around the lake. Also walk on the main strip area there and visit their shops.
I do remember having to stop often due to high altitudes getting me vertigo but wife was ok entire time. Enjoy your trip. Tomato

I used to live right next to tahoe.
go take the river boat tour around emerald island. if you are into mountain bikes, you can go down the ski slopes during the summer with a rental bike. super fun. gambling is fun there. friday night's seafood buffet at harris' casino is bangin last time i went. lots of nature stuff out there boss, you run into it everywhere just a small drive from tahoe you can check out the salmon spawn area.... really nice walk as you follow the paths. i never really got touristy there, since i lived in that area, but there is plenty to do, and lots to see. ill ask my parents for the name of the joint that has KILLER fish and chips, and other stuff to to if your interested. |
