I went to the gourmet food truck event at Tropical Park last night and it was a great time. In addition to having about 30 of these trucks to get food, it is also a motorcycle and car show. It goes on every Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. We could set it up to be every other Thursday or once a month, whatever is easier.

Post up in this thread if it is something you would be interested in. Once that is set up, we can figure out which Thursday works best for everyone.

I would go

I went the Thursday before the Bokampers meet & had a great time, a bunch of cars & bikes

Its a great idea because the food trucks are there & we'll be by our cars most of the time, instead of going inside a restaurant.

Also my buddy sets up a small tent to pin stripe if you guys want to get something done to your BMW.

My thoughts, exactly. I'd be down for April 5.

That's awesome about the pin striping. I will get a quote from him as my car has a pin stripe done on it (bought used) that got messed up somehow. I think it may be easier to have it touched up than it would be to get the rest removed.

he's really good at it.

he also painted a couple parts for some E90 members, soon he will be moulding my aero lip to my bumper

I'll be there. And I've convinced the girlfriend to go, too. The presence of the food trucks made it an easy sell. Haha.

Two details that need to be worked out:

1) What time?
2) Whether to meet across the street in the Best Buy parking lot in order to drive in together and park together, or just go in and see where the cards fall?

The ones I've tried have been really good. The Fish Box sells really good fried shrimp, also good fish sandwiches.

I got there the other night at around 7pm & it was kinda early, it was good though because none of the food trucks had any lines

and for those that haven't been to the food trucks you will not be disappointed, my favorite is the grilled cheese, AMAZING

If you're driving along Bird Road, you can't miss it. The trucks and motorcycles all park in the lot right behind the track when you enter the park on Bird Road across from the Best Buy/Target parking lot entrance. The cars park next to this area.

As for time, around 7:00 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. would be good as the food truck lines can get pretty long later on. The event really starts to get busy around 10:00 p.m.

Which truck? I saw there were two that did grilled cheese and I wanted to try it out.

The philly cheese steak truck was really good, too. Took forever, though. I'm going to hit them up earlier this time around.

And you have to try the fried Oreo's. Sounds weird, and I didn't think they would be good, but they were delicious.
