Yes, it can stop the creaking noise you get if you get silicone on the door seals.

. The short answer is no. Shouldve got it back today but work still not done. Would you believe instead of replacing the tailgate glass they replaced one of the windows. WTF. Incompetence beyond belief. On the verge of rejecting the car now

Sounds like they're starting to take the piss a bit now!
Think I'd see if they've done a good job first (when they eventually get it done) if not then tell them they can shove it !!!
