e90 engin vibration @ idle

I have a 2006 330i. When at idle there is a small amount of vibration in the steering wheel. When I tun on the AC the Vibration goes away.
Is this normal?

For one reason or another, the idling RPM was set really low. When you turn o your airconditioning, the RPM idle is adjusted higher to compensate for the load hence the decrease in vibration.....wonder if you could ask the dealer to raise the idle RPM.

What is the factory/default idle? My 325i is just a bit under 500 RPM and I haven't noticed much vibration. I am at ~1200 miles now.

WOW!!! That's low. There was a thread about this some time ago and the majority had 550rpm, just like mine and I get 600rpm with A/C on.

So your idling is vibration free? If so and you dont have a problem then great. Maybe this is good that we are re starting such a thread, although my iding speed hasnt changed at all since day 1 and I dont expect it to either. Its VERY nice at idle speed by the way.

Maybe the autos idle a bit higher than manuals.

OK, I am an idiot...I meant to say a bit OVER 500 rpm, not under. But still no heavy vibrations.

Mine is about 550 and I feel very little if any vibration from the steering wheel with the ac on or off.
