After procede install, battery keeps dying??
So I just installed a Procede two nights ago, now my battery keeps dying?
When I left to work yesterday morning it was fine, but 8 hours later when I was leaving work to go home, I had to get my car jumped. I did disconnect the negative terminal on the battery when I installed the Procede. After searching four pages worth of the forum, I saw when having to get a new battery you have to have it registered to the DME. Since I reset the DME thru the procede, do you think I have to get the battery re-registered? Or is it just that time for my battery to go? its a 2008 with 71k miles, I believe original battery. TIA PS: Im loving the Procede! |

I'm not sure how your PROcede could be draining power while your car is switched off because it shares its power source with the DME which only turns on with your car.
To put your mind at ease though, post a few pictures of your ECU box so we can make sure you installed everything correctly.

So I got my car jumped again this morning to go to BMW and my car died on me. It said it was overheating (which I looked down at the temp gauge and it was still warming up at 200*, on my screen it also said the passenger side airbag restraint system was not working?) I just had it towed to BMW to see what the deal is. I saw there was coolant around the reservoir tho.

So the tech at BMW said that my water pump went out. Thats like $600 and the battery is like $300. Dang...all this after the warranty went out too.
