rear passenger side rattling after bringing car in for HPFP service
I had to bring the car in for the HPFP recall before I coudl renew my registration but the dealership ended up noticing it already has the new part in there. The last two days that I've been driving, I've been hearing a rattling/clanking noise like a loose wire hitting the body panel in the rear passenger side when i'm driving. When performing the HPFP service, is there anything back in that rear passenger area that's touched?

Nope. If they didn't change the HDP, then all they did was look through the runners on the intake manifold and check the number stamped on the pump. The Tech might have removed the airbox to have a better look (2 hose clamps), but that's about it.

thanks! that's reassuring.
i think i found out what caused the noise.... apparently they went ahead and cleaned the car as well, i thought it was just the exterior but they vacuumed the interior and must've moved a few things i threw into the rear seat. and a few things were a screw driver, pens, water bottles and my front license plate! cleaned all that stuff up and haven't noticed it since. |
