Tiny swerve when braking @ high speed, normal?

Hi guys,

I noticed today while on the highway that at speeds of 60-70 if i need to brake at all my car does so smoothly, however, if im around 85-90 and brake a little, the car will slightly swerve left to right a little, is that normal, ok, or should I be worried?

That doesn't sound good.. Were you braking on a curve or anything? Between my e90 and 4 runner, I've never experienced swerving when braking @ 90mph

I know that the car needs a brake fluid flush and apparently needs two new front tires, but it seems weird that it works fine at 60-70 but not around 90

if the tires are bad I would replace them and also get it aligned once the new tires are on, alignment may be part of the problem and/or will tell you what parts in the suspension may be worn.

It's also possible that you may have a brake problem but start with the tires and suspension since you need new tires anyway and you should always get an alignment with new tires...

I would also check wheel bearings and if not i would move to suspension. Always start troubleshooting from the less expensive parts.

I know my 335i has a very slight pull when breaking (although that may be the shit roads here as well...). I've never been concerned about it - should I be?

Change your front tires and brake fluid and I bet your brakes will feel a lot better.

Yes. If you're brakes aren't balanced under light braking, they will be massively unbalanced under heavy braking which is bad! Find a quiet even road and check them out.
