Used/Demo e92

Hi Guys,

Got call from my local dealer today about e92 in stock. Car got sport package, 19' rims, active steering and comes with 12k. manufacture dated of 6/06 and sells as 07 model. What kind of discount should I ask for? 15% of MSRP?
What is after market for stuff like bluetooth, comfort access and rear distance control?
Did anyone heard about insurance for run-flat tires? apparently if i get flat tire and don't have insurance i will have to pay for new tire, unless i buy insurance and it will cover it up...

thanks in advance guys,

Vlady

If you're looking for bluetooth, CA, and PDC, among other things, you may be better off buying a new car with your desired configuration. PDC will require a new bumper, among other things. I have the PDC, but I have iDrive/Navigation, so I see the PDC graphically on my screen. Not sure if you need Navi, but it sounds logical. I'm sure CA can be retrofitted. My bluetooth runs through my iDrive.

Insurance for tires is nothing new. Depending on the insurance coverage, it will either warranty or replace your tire... depending on what coverage you get. It could be as simple as a tire replacement with no questions asked or it could be tire replacement provided that the damage was not done intentionally.

How many miles are on this car? Is it a 335i or a 328i? Does it have the oil cooler retrofit?

If it's a 328i, get a new car. 328i's aren't as popular as the 335i.

Is the dealer selling it as a certified pre-owned? If he is, at least you will have the 6year/160000km warranty on it, on top of the 4year/80000km bumper to bumper. But you will still have to do your due diligence and test drive the car, check for body work (certified does NOT mean accident free), excess wear and tear etc.
At least with a used one, you shouldn't have to pay the PDI/Freight charge (isn't it around $1700 in Canada?) and all those other ridiculous taxes like tire tax, air conditioning tax, gas tax... and being in Edmonton no PST right?

Correct, dealer selling it as demo car. They try to add 2,000 in Freight/PDI usual stuff: air tax, tire tax, admin free. I sent e-mail to them last night and asked about Freight/PDI. No PST in Edmonton, just 6% of GST.

I'd pass.. Test cars tend to get opened up a lot. The break in period more then likely wasnt done correctly. Your probably more prone to problems later on.
