Adding oil cooler to US cars.
It doesn't look difficult to add BMW oil cooler to US cars. Looks like only 4 parts involved.

The water tubing is a 2 pieces parts. Replace the main water connector, so it has an additional location for the tube. Then install the tube that is between the main connector and oil cooler. Done.
There is no way that US id colder than Europe, so I don't see why we don't get the oil cooler. |

All you need is #3, 11, and 12, and of course the oil cooler.

You donīt get it because you donīt need it. You simply do not have the opportunity to drive the car at max power output for a prolonged time. Heat buildup is far less when your top speed is limited. Accelerating (no matter how hard) will not cause too much heat buildup. The Oil cooler is for European because even if a car is delivered to, say Ireland, thereīs a chance the owner will go to Switzerland for the holidays with the car, pass through Germany and give it the boot. Only then do you need the Oil cooler. Even when tracking youīl hardly need it. Unless your track is called Indianapolis. (But donīt got there if your running Michelin tires ) Sustained top speed runs really are the only thing youīd need an Oil coller for in the E90. And then probably only in the US spec 330. The US spec 325 is quite understressed and probably wouldnīt need it even for operations in Germany.
