Extra boost of power from 335?
Hello everyone!
Looking for an explanation here. First let me say that my car is BONE STOCK! I have only done a few cosmetic mods. This weekend I was at California Speedway and I could swear that somewhere between 90 and 100MPH there was an extra boost of speed. Certainly it's fast and torquey all over the power range. It gets up and goes! So I don't think I'm minus any power at the low end but suddenly at that high speed its as if it gets a 2nd wind! Anyone else experience this or know what it could be? It's possible that it was the wind picking it up but I was thinking it was fairly consistent around the speed and at different parts of the track when I felt it so maybe not just wind. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks |

I'm surprised you only noticed that now. I felt the same thing on my ED, but I think it's just that the 6th gear pull is so strong, it's unexpected.

Actually I was still in 4th! I was on the track and by the time I was ready to shift into 5th (6.5K RPM's) I needed to brake for a turn. So I never got out of 4th gear.

its effortless between 85-110 mph in 6th (I did feel that extra surge of power too)... after that I felt it was struggling. Next time I will try this in the 5th and post my results.

Ive been noticing that sometimes Ill be on the highway, Ill drop it down to 3rd, and the car will have very little power. Other times, it will pull hard. Its weird. Its like the computers setting change or something. It doesnt seem to boost the same everytime
