I didnt do anything at the 60k service. I just had a tech inspect everything. Fluids, belts, etc. Got the thumbs up and didnt have anything that was REQUIRED to change at 60k.

I'm around 60k with an extended carmax warranty... but a local BMW shop around here quoted me $600 to do this:

- flush all fluids, spark plugs , replace all filters, belts, wipers , upgrade computer

Is that a reasonable price? I might end up doing this before installing FMIC and DP's

Most of that you can do yourself. I don't know what "upgrade computer" is though.

That's what i was thinking. When asked about whats in the update, they have no idea...i don't get it, when there is an updates for iphone (for example), it lists what it fixes etc...not sure if i want/need this update..it might make it worse..

Updates just re-program modules and fix bugs, I wouldn't worry about making it worse... I'd be more worried is it worth the $150 or not but for $150 do it IMO

My dealer want 250 bucks to do the 'inspections' cited in the service /warranty book. I passed as I was getting oil service and said "isn't most of that checked anyway"? He did state they check the battery, belt and few other non oil service inspection items.

If you have to pay for it, i believe you are not under warranty like myself. I researched here and found this "old school" maintenance sheets. Use this specially if you have any tune or aftermarket parts.
I bought all the require equipment and fluids from ECS tuning and Im doing the work myself.. Easy enough to do it in one day and they are plenty of DIY in this website to help you.
My 2 cents!!!

Due for mine as well. The small dealer here in town wanted $260 to do the check, or I can drive an hour and do the check at Baron for $70. Yeah, I will take a day off of work and do the later.

Just hope everything checks out.

This would be a good time to proactively change the water pump/thermostat in order to avoid being stranded later. They seem to go around this mileage
