Indeed. They did say my bed plate gas an oil leak. $5k to fix. I opted to pass as I simply cannot afford it. Still trying to find info on it. Not to be mistaken with oil pan gasket.
I will monitor and keep clean. Bitter sweet as it has me bumming. Ever heard of such an issue? |

congradulations on the new turbos! I just recently got my turbos replaced under warranty and confirmed that BMW has revised the wastegates on the replacements turbos so you should get a longer life span out of them

I know there are coupons and specials. A few more the I was quoted $350 I think. Its all good. Considering technically the car is out of warranty (minus turbos), have a loaner and I'm getting brand new turbos...I am happy with paying standard pricing on the blast. Might be getting an e70 diesel today when I turn in the Passat rental for the bkw loaner. Either that or an F30 328.

Try $850.00 through my dealer up in Alaska and took a month to get the walnut shells because they ran out. Probably the worse experience I ever had and it still didn't fix the misfire issue that I had going on at the time.

How did that go? Seeing you're in Canada, I mean, and the turbo warranty extension isn't valid here I understand.

Is it this easy to get the turbos on the N54 replaced under warranty only in CA?
If I have a chargepipe (because my stock plastic one broke) and an 5" FMIC will I have problems if I need to? Congrats! I would be thrilled |

I'll be buying my SA a nice gift certificate for Morton's and will be giving them my business moving forward. I feel very fortunate to be getting this handled so close to the 82K mark. Good luck to any of you that give this a shot. I didn't seek this out... my car fell on it's face Monday and developed a rasp and lack of power. Codes 30FF are the key to get the process started as well as loud wastegate rattle/chatter. Cheers !

I removed everything off my car and went back to 100% stock. A FMIC might be an issue as it is connected to the turbo inlet on one side, same goes for the chargepipe. Any modifications to the exhaust, especially downpipes is an automatic NO. My car was a certified preowned series that I purchased from the BMW dealership directly, so my turbos were covered under extended warranty.
