Best adhesive for spoilers

I recently acquired a CF trunk spoiler and roof spoiler for my e90. Is there a preferred adhesive? Or method for install?

I've heard about the 3M double sided tape and also Betatech Plus Body Panel Adhesive.

Is there any particular that you guys would recommend. All opinions are welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Many different threads regarding this topic.

3m double sided tape for easy removal if you wish to do so in the future. Might cause minor gaps between the trunk and spoiler itself if the tape on the spoiler isn't properly applied.

Beta link for a more flush and permanent install.

You can weigh the pros and cons yourself and make the decision based off of that. I myself would choose the beta link over the 3m tape because I couldn't find a way to apply the tape properly to make the install gap-less.

In my experience if you are installing an oem peice or a near perfect replica you can get away with 3m double sided tape and have it 100% flush all the way around if installed properly. Most replicas don't have the perfect contour to sit flush from what I have seen, so for better fitment betalink might give you a better look, but its a permanent solution.

There is something in between.
3M Urethane windshield adhesive.

Cleans up pretty well with alcohol and is semi-permanent.
You can remove it with some work.

I installed my rear spoiler with it. Tape didn't work so well.

3M Molding Tape. It's the super strong, very thin, gray tape with the red plastic. The stuff is amazing. Just make sure your hands are clean and the area you're applying it is as well. Stay away from the white and green 3M tape... it sucks and it's super thick. The gap will be extremely noticeable and it's not as strong.

I used only the 3m tape.
Here's my thread that includes a DIY video for the install.

I used the adhesive that came with the OEM install kit. I masked the deck lid around the spoiler mounting points to make clean-up easy. It seems to work well.

Used 3M double sided exterior tape. Worked perfect. Cleaned surface with rubbing alcohol beforehand. You could probably tow the car by the spoiler it was on so well.

Prep and a good fitting spoiler are key.

Found some double sided 3m tape with clear adhesive as opposed to the gray that some people are mentioning. I'm gonna try it out and see how it goes. Can hopefully have some pics up later this week.
