Dedicated vacuum port >Tial BOV
Just finished this up today in hopes to stop the fluttering I get from my Tial bov. Pretty straight forward, in the pic there I am finishing up sealing it.....wouldn't want a vacuum leak.
I still kept the oem port for my boost gauge. |

I thought this would fix my flutter... After tapping a new nipple, I took apart my tial bov and cleaned it. After everything was buttoned up there wasn't any flutter! I was happy as can be... A week or so later the flutter at low rpm/boost has come back.
Now I'm going to try to polish the bov piston and or oil it. If that still does not help I'll start clipping the spring. |

The spring is too stiff and or your engine has a shit load of carbon deposits preventing the valve from pulling the right vacuum pressure. I ended up dropping down to a white spring to get the right vacuum for my altitude and kill the flutter.

What spring are you running? The yellow spring is too much for our altitudes. Max you should be running is the unpainted spring which falls between a yellow and a white.

So what you're saying is you don't know what spring is in the BOV.

Spring is too stiff, go with black spring, shim it til its just closed at idle, use the dedicated port. Exactly what we did with the shop car, BOV then works as it should. The spring they recommend is too strong 80% of the time.

I have a white spring right now. Might go to unpainted since I just had walnut blasting done today.
