E91 320d clutch smell & front brakes
Hi
Today on way into work I revved quite hard at a set of lights, should have dropped down into 2nd but instead stuck with 3rd. I got the usual clutch smell, however I'm now getting all the time. Clutch seems fine and isn't slipping. Have I knackered it? Also I am getting a replace brakes warning, rears have just been done with a new sensor, fronts were done in sept when I bought the car. The guy that did the rears said I had plenty on the front. Is this just going to be a case of a new sensor? Hope someone can help, seems like a good and well informed forum Thanks |

Clutch odour hangs around for absolutely ages mate.If it still feels fine and doesn't slip/groan/judder etc then it will probably dissipate in time by itself.
A simple reset through the Kombi should sort you're warning issues. If front sensor wasn't replaced at time it may need replaced to ensure the lamp can be extinguished. |

Thanks for that, never known it to linger for so long
Think ill have to live with warning for now as they will prob be due in next six months so can get new sensor then, unless it starts to annoy me more Thanks |
