Yes Carlos, explain yourself - a fix, what makes you think that?

On a serious note a lot of Top Gear is fixed. The race's across Europe that finish minutes apart, the camping holiday with the Caravan on fire spring to mind. But track times I don't think they would fix those, no point. The stig is obviously a handy driver and has driven the track so much + the car so has local knowledge - I reakon that will give him the edge.

A while back I emailed the BBC about a 'freedom of information' request. They basically told me (as I knew they would) that they don't need to divulge any information regarding the making of any of their programs, so they obviously do have some scope to 'bend' the facts a little!

It was to do with the way they portrayed a piece of film for the BBC3 program 'The Real Hustle' regarding internet security and fraud.

Nah.... JC is an arse at times, but he's ok and has the right intentions towards cars/motoring. Its when programs/the media try and worry people and make things seem worse than they are that pisses me off.

Well done Gordon, a lot of our 'problems' these days are due to sensationalism, and some real problems are made worse simply by publicising them more.

Harry Secombe died a few years back, I think all the Goons are gone now (Sellers, Secombe and Milligan - was there a fourth?)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Goon_Show I think that the great Sir Harry's work in 'Highway' surpassed all of his earlier achievements. Just listening to the theme tune brings back that feeling of knowing that you haven't done your homework, but not quite being bothered enough to go and finish it. |
