I need your help...
I picked up my car through European Delivery. The car made it to the ship, no problems, and I was able to track it on the carrier's website. According to the shipper, it was released to BMW on the 10th. The dealer told me that according to their computer, it didn't leave the port in New Jersey until the 13th, and I'd have the car no later than 16th. I called them on the 16th...never called me back. I called again on the 19th and was told the car was still in New Jersey, but would be there by the end of the week on the 23d. On the 23d, I called them and was told the car was still in New Jersey, but would be able to be picked up no later than the 28th of December. Today's the 29th, and the car's still not there. I've been calling all day wanting to talk to the salesman, sales manager, general manager, etc. I've been told by 2 different people I'd be called back immediately...that was 8 hours ago. In the past two weeks, they have not returned my call a single time. When I ask to speak with my salesman, I'm always told they're with a customer and would have to get back to me. What should I do??

Your salesman is appearently not handing the situation properly. Did you try going to the dealer and talking to their manager? If not, I would advice you to contact BMWNA (I'm not sure if they help with the problem though but its never wrong to make sure)

Thanks for the response. My problem is that the dealer is about 6 hours away. I talked to the sales manager 8 hours ago, and never got a call back...just called and now he's "busy with other customers." I asked to speak to the general manager, and stayed on hold for about 20 minutes until I hung up. I called BMWUSA and they couldn't do anything but tell me to call the General Manager of the dealership. I hate getting the runaround.

Then I would advice you to call the general manager over and over until the problem is resolved. They should try to reason with you rather then ignoring you.

ya...hopefully they'll call me before I deploy at the end of the month. It sucks that I was in VA for the holidays, and will be flying through the city the dealers in on my way back home. It'd be SO easy to not get on my connecting flight and drive my car home instead. It'd save me from trying to find someone to drive me 6 hours away to pick up the car, then drive 6 hours back...hmph.
