My memory card was a dud and I was not able to get any good data from my runs and the video is a mess. I did use my iphone/harry's laptimer so do have some video and data but not nearly as effective or accurate.

Shizzle I believe also uses the AIM Solo but has it mated to a Smarty Cam for the video.
I like some of VBox units. Pricey. I was looking at the VBox Pro, AIM and Traqmate units. I'll likely go with one of the AIM MXL units in the end. Harry's Laptimer unfortunately has outlived it's usefulness.

Supercharger is removed...?

Why was it taken out? Not reliable on track?

My second to fastest lap chasing the G8 at WGI, July 30th. He modified his G8 with Holding Australia performance engine and suspension parts. Heavy car (4300#) pushing 540HP/500TQ. We didn’t see him much the second day.

One of my favorites. Ballsy driving from Leh Keen at WGI.

I finally had a chance to look at this in greater detail. On an average my M3 is braking less, accelerating and carrying more speed. With the exception of one spot, turn 9 where Antoine brakes less and carries more speed. It took me to the end of day 2 to finally start feeling better about that turn. I'm looking forward to next year to do it all over again.

More boring video from WGI chasing down G8

There was a G8 in our group that was just a monster for sheer torque. I spent most of day 1 trying to chase him down to no avail. His G8 had modified go fast parts from Holden Performance from Australia, subsidiary Pontiac. He mentioned that his supercharger gave him 500+ HP and 540+ Tq, topped off with Pedders performance race suspension to help stabilize his 4300lbs hot rod. I finally catch up with him after 5 minutes of whipping thru traffic. Straight line that thing cant be beat, but the E46 M3 is a momentum car in comparison. A few more laps was all that was needed. I just ran out of time.

Since everyone is sharing graphs, here is my lap of the 2.21.4 lap I had. It starts from the exit of turn 8

It's pretty cool that I was pulling over 1.5G pretty often in turns and combining acceleration and turning at the limit to power out of turns, but it seems that I was not trailbraking much - probably because I am still not comfortable with this track.

I use just a GPS logger (http://www.qstarz.com/Products/GPS%2...EX-10HZ-F.html) that logs GPS data in standard format, so I can use it with any analysis software, plus GoPro for video. That set up requires manual overlay of data on video, so I do not do it too often.

Little recap of CMP with Viperclub/Bimmershop

Great day. No rain... slightly wet track in first 30 minute session of 7 sessions total. Very low number of participants. Felt like 15 per group. Only 2 groups.

No car issues for me. Did 2 first sessions on street tires, 2 next ones on Rcomps... and did last 3 on streets again. One Porsche GT3 hit the wall severely (front and back damaged) in second session. One Viper had major engine trouble (by the sound of it) and needed a towing. One Subaru had an issue with a radiator hose. One M3 had rear brake malfunction. So a few people gone early. Pretty much open track in the PM.

difference between street tires and RComps is huge. Track seems much wider with Rcomps.

Thanks to Chris for letting me take his place, Thanks to Joel to transport my tires.
